McDermott 50th Anniversary Cue with 50th Anniversary Hard Case
Description
Description
McDermott hand crafted cues are some of the most recognisable in the billiard industry. Manufactured in the USA, their cues are known for quality construction, exotic woods, intricate inlays and limitless customisation options. Their cues come with a lifetime warranty that includes warpage.
The construction of each cue consists of over 150 separate procedures. The butt is handcrafted using the finest materials and handpicked exotic woods from around the world. Each shaft uses the finest North American hard rock Maple. Hand selected, the shafts are turned 11 times for stability.
In honour of McDermott’s 50th Anniversary, we are proud to introduce a commemorative series of limited-edition cues—each inspired by a classic design from our history. When the M29D “Sierra” debuted in 2002, its distinctive rotational ringwork set a new benchmark for cue design. The MCD50L continues that legacy, featuring even more of the signature “Stalactite/Stalagmite” rings that made the original so memorable. Thanks to H-Series construction, we were able to expand the design while keeping every detail true to its inspiration. Paired with an i-2 shaft and VBP weight system, this cue brings a classic into the modern era.
Triple-Layer Carbon Fiber Core
The i-Shaft’s Triple-Layer Carbon Fiber Core extends the full-length of the shaft (from ferrule to joint), stabilizing the entire shaft for absolute control and predictability. This technology increases radial consistency, reduces vibration and virtually eliminates the inconsistencies found in a traditional maple shaft. The i-2 is known for its incredible control and consistency. It is the perfect all-around performance shaft designed for players that want maximum control without sacrificing power and finesse.
Radial Consistency
Radial consistency is the shaft’s ability to perform the same way on every shot, regardless of its orientation. The i-Shaft's Triple-Layer Carbon Fiber Core technology will consistently provide a straighter cue ball path, minimizing the need to compensate for spin and throw.
Navigator Premium Tip
Navigator tips are made using 100% Japanese pigskin leather. They are laminated and pressed utilizing a specialized method, which features a proprietary adhesive that won't affect the leather's hardness. This prevents oxidation, meaning the tip won't get harder after short usage. Within the Navigator tip line, Sigma falls in the midrange for hardness and was created through a proprietary process of adjusting the leather fiber firmness in each layer. The medium compression of the leather will provide good grip force (contact time on the cue ball), while maintaining cue ball speed and acceleration.
Variable Balance Point System - Your struggle to get a perfectly-balanced cue is officially over
H-Series is the first line of cues to feature the fully-adjustable Variable Balance Point (VBP) weight system. This breakthrough is made possible by our patented new technology that combines a full-length carbon fiber core with a rail which the weights can be repositioned forward or backward inside the cue. No other cue allows you to have this much control over both the weight and balance.
